Understanding the "% In Condition" Rating

Every climbing area on Racked displays an aggregate % In Condition rating. This number tells you, at a glance, what percentage of routes in that area are currently reported as climbable.

The rating is calculated from the most recent condition reports submitted by climbers and area owners. If an area has 20 routes and 15 are marked "In," the area shows 75% In Condition.

Keep in mind that this is a snapshot based on available reports. Some routes may not have been reported on recently, in which case they show as "Unknown" and don't factor into the percentage. Areas with more active reporting communities will have more accurate and up-to-date ratings.
